Privacy Policy

Overview

Proximator is a local video processing app that respects your privacy. All video processing happens on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information or video content.

Data Collection

Proximator does NOT collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• Video files or content
• Location data
• Browsing history or search queries

File Access

• The app accesses video files only with your explicit permission via the iOS file picker
• Files are processed locally on your device and never uploaded to any server
• No video content leaves your device unless you explicitly share it
• File access permissions can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings

Device Information

The app may collect anonymous diagnostic information to improve stability and performance:

• Device model (e.g., "iPhone 15 Pro")
• iOS version
• App version and build number
• Crash reports (anonymized, containing no personal data)

This information is used solely to identify and fix bugs. No personally identifiable information is included in crash reports.

Permissions

The app requests the following iOS permissions:

• File Access: To read video files from your selected folders. Required for core functionality.
• Photos Library: To save exported video frames to your Photos library. This is optional and only used when you explicitly tap "Save Frame".

You can manage these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Proximator.

Data Storage

All app settings and preferences (such as selected language, LUT files, and conversion settings) are stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage (UserDefaults and app sandbox). This data never leaves your device.

Data Security

Since all video processing happens locally on your device and no data is transmitted to external servers, your content is as secure as your device. We recommend using iOS security features like passcodes, Face ID/Touch ID, and device encryption to protect your files.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
